Frequently Asked Questions

Attending the Freedom Car Show can mean spending the whole day outside on the Boulevard.   We've put together a list of the most common questions we receive below. 

Be respectful towards the event organizers and car owners and do not do the following:


  • Burnouts
  • Excessive revving
  • Speed in the lot
  • Park abnormally
  • Litter
  • Touch someone else’s car
  • Block photographers
  • Ride a bicycle or skateboard
  • Blast your stereo
  • Bring animals – ONLY SERVICE ANIMALS ALLOWED


BRING:

  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • A hat for shade
  • Long sleeve shirt or clothing with a hood
  • Blanket and/or folding chair for seating for the Saturday Night Concert!
  • Ear plugs
  • Bug spray
  • Camera
  • Rain jacket or gear - just in case
  • Cash


DO NOT BRING:

  • Alcohol or Drugs
  • Weapons
  • Fireworks 
  • Glass containers
  • Golf carts, bicycles, scooters or ATVs
  • Pets
  • Grills or open flames of any kind


In addition to the city's normally available accessible parking, extra accessible parking will be reserved on Laidley Street and Summers Street between Virginia Street and Kanawha Boulevard.


No. The Freedom Car Show is for everyone and all cars are welcome. We are spot lighting cars that have adaptive modifications to bring awareness, but any car, truck or bike may enter the show and have a chance to win trophies and prizes. We may even have some antique tractors!
