Welcome to our inclusive car show, where innovation meets accessibility! Experience a showcase like no other, where the world of automobiles is redefined through the lens of accessibility and inclusivity. All car, truck and bike enthusiasts welcome! If it's unique or unusual we want to see it.
At the Freedom Car Show, you'll discover a remarkable collection of vehicles that have been thoughtfully designed and adapted to meet the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities. From modified controls and specialized seating to state-of-the-art assistive technologies, each car on display embodies the spirit of empowerment and independence. But this exhibition is more than just a display of vehicles. It's a celebration of the remarkable ingenuity and creativity of engineers, designers, and innovators who have dedicated themselves to making the joy of driving accessible to all.
As you explore the show, you'll have the opportunity to interact with exhibitors who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. Learn about the latest advancements in adaptive driving technology, discover resources for vehicle modifications, and connect with organizations dedicated to promoting accessibility in the automotive industry.
Whether you're a car enthusiast, a person with a disability, or simply someone who believes in the power of inclusivity, we invite you to join us on this journey of discovery and empowerment. Together, let's celebrate the freedom and independence that comes from finding the perfect ride, tailored to individual needs.
Thank you for being a part of our car show for people with disabilities. Your presence will be a testament to the progress we've made towards a more inclusive future, where everyone has the opportunity to experience the thrill of the open road.
Held at Haddad Riverfront Park, located on the banks of the Kanawha River, and home to Charleston's free concert series Live on the Levee, the Freedom Car Show features some of the most unique vehicles you will ever see. Additionally, nonprofit exhibitors, local businesses, and food vendors will be on site for the event. The show will also have a great line-up of live local music and activities for the kids.
If you want to see car modifications you've never seen before, you don't want to miss this event!
The WV Independence Network (WIN) is a network of partners (Centers for Independent Living) that provide services, resources, and advocacy to maximize the independence and inclusion of individuals with disabilities.
All proceeds generated from the Freedom Car Show will go directly to the Community Living Services Program (CLSP) managed by the WIN. CLSP is a statewide program that purchases assistive devices, durable medical equipment, home modifications, wheelchair ramps and vehicle modifications for economically eligible individuals with disabilities.
CLSP services help West Virginians with disabilities remain in or return to their homes and communities by enabling them to function more independently.
The goal for the Freedom Car Show is to help raise funds for the WIN and educate the public on what the Centers for Independent Living do to make WV a better place to live, work, and play for people with disabilities. For people with disabilities, living independently is Freedom.
Thank you to our sponsors, participants, and patrons, for helping us accomplish this goal.
